Aurora Watch Co., Aurora, Illinois, 18 size, 15 jewels, stem wind, lever set, gilt plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance and Hurd patent micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, reeded edge, engraved hunting case and Roman numeral, outer black 5-minute markers, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #34265, c1886.
CONDITION:
CASE: A few dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on inner surface of case; Engraving with moderate wear; Gold filled with minor brassing; Bow worn; Crown worn. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, very light, 11:30 to center, center to seconds bit; Tiny flakes in enamel near setting lever, hidden by bezel. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide; One screw with minor discoloration. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
